Caroline Cole

Caroline Turner Cole is a storyteller from Dallas, TX. She writes, acts, and advocates for theatre in schools by teaching after school programs and directing youth theatre. A member of the Dramatists' Guild, Caroline's most recent play "A Very Typical Romantic Comedy" was developed in partnership with Dallas Theatre Center's Playwright Development Program and was well-received at a staged reading produced by Flexible Grey in 2019. In 2018, she completed a short play "Steps", commissioned by Spark and Echo Arts. Previously, her first full-length play, "Our Space", developed in collaboration with the Aviary Dallas and in residence at Skyline High School, was one of three finalists in Pegasus Theatre's Fresh Reads 2 Festival. "Honestly", a short play, came in 2nd place at Bishop Arts Theatre's PlayPride LGBT Festival and another work of hers -- "Herstorical Penpals" -- was featured at Rover Dramawerks festival 365 Women a Year. Her current obsession is exploring connection through the murky lens of the Internet. With so much of our lives now online, she's fascinated with translating this 'online life' into a theatrical setting, deconstructing and reconstructing how we see ourselves and interact with each other.
